Marcy Brown, the founder of Envision Research, is an experienced librarian with close to fifteen years of experience in secondary research services. Most recently Marcy worked as a clinical medical librarian, and has gained a vast knowledge of information sources in health and medicine, wellness, diseases and treatments, clinical trials, public health, healthcare management, and healthcare technology. Marcy has a master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Maryland, holds a graduate certificate in Healthcare Information Technology from the University of Connecticut, and is currently working toward a second graduate degree in Educational Technology.

Marcy works as a consulting librarian for a suburban community hospital as well as a research organization at the University of Chicago Department of Family Medicine. As a consultant she works to solve the information management needs of physicians, residents, medical students, clinical researchers, nurses, allied health professionals, and patients.

Her interest in learning technology led her to appointments as an online adjunct assistant professor at the University of Maryland University College (UMCU) and an online adjunct instructor at Drexel University. At the latter she designed a new online version of a course previously taught face-to-face. Each semester she teaches for one or both of these universities.

Marcy is an active member of the Medical Library Association, the American Society for Training and Development, and is certified by the Academy of Health Information Profesisonals (AHIP).
